Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 23, 2026

Frame Extractor is an independent web project. The privacy contact and site contact is [email protected]. This policy covers visits to frameextractor.net, the browser extraction workflow, analytics and optional advertising technologies, and messages sent to the project.

Local processing and hosting data

A video selected in the extractor is read through browser media APIs and frames are generated on your device. The application does not need to upload the source video or extracted images to a Frame Extractor server. Your browser and operating system still control temporary memory, downloads, local file permissions, backups, and synchronization on your device.

Hosting and security providers may receive ordinary request data needed to deliver and protect the site, including IP address, request time, URL, referrer, browser user agent, response status, and security signals. The site may be delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. Request logs are not used to recover or inspect the local video selected in the extractor.

Analytics, consent, and optional services

The extractor works when optional cookies are refused. Your choice is saved in browser local storage as frameextractor-consent-v1 with a value of accepted or rejected. It does not contain video data. Use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the panel, or clear site data in your browser.

Google Analytics loads on every visit, but writes analytics cookies only after you accept optional cookies. Until then it runs in a cookieless mode that records aggregated page views without a persistent identifier. The same applies to any other configured analytics service (OpenPanel or Plausible). These services may receive page views, general browser and device information, approximate region, referrer, interaction events, and errors. We do not intentionally send video contents, extracted frames, or local filenames in analytics events.

Your choice covers analytics cookies. Where this site asks for advertising consent itself, it covers advertising cookies as well; where a Google-certified consent message is displayed, that message records the advertising decision instead. In regions where the law requires consent, the default state is refusal until you choose otherwise.

Contact messages, retention, and your rights

Email messages contain the address, subject, body, and attachments you choose to send. They are used to answer the request, investigate a problem, protect the service, or comply with law. Do not send private videos unless a redacted sample is specifically requested. Messages are kept only as reasonably necessary for support, operational records, disputes, or legal obligations and are not added to marketing lists without permission.

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about disclosures. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need information to locate or verify the request, but we will not ask for the local video because extraction does not transmit it to us.

Third-party advertising and Google technologies

If optional cookies are accepted and advertising is configured, Google AdSense may use cookies, local storage, IP address, browser information, or other device identifiers to deliver, limit, measure, and protect ads. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on consent, location, settings, and Google policy. Advertising must remain distinguishable from site content, and clicking an ad is never required to use Frame Extractor. Google does not receive your local video or extracted frames through this tool.

Advertising consent, interest-based ads, and your choices

Advertising on this site is served by Google. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google requires a consent management platform certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework before ads are requested. Where such a message is shown, it is the Google-certified consent message configured in our AdSense account, and it records your choices under TCF v2.2. The privacy panel on this site stores a separate preference in your browser and does not replace that message.

You can change or withdraw an advertising consent at any time. Reopen the consent message with the Cookie settings link in the footer, or clear this site’s data in your browser and reload the page. Withdrawing consent stops personalised advertising; it does not remove ads, so you may continue to see non-personalised ads that are selected from page context rather than from a profile of your interests.

Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and device identifiers to select, deliver, frequency-cap, measure, and protect ads. Interest-based advertising is advertising selected from inferred interests rather than from the content of the page alone. You can review or reset the advertising identifiers Google associates with your browser in Google Ad Settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the industry opt-out pages linked below. Opting out does not remove ads and does not delete data that was already collected.

We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying information to Google in ad requests. The page address sent with a request is the public URL of the page you are reading; the extractor never adds a local file name, video content, or extracted frame to any advertising or analytics request.
